Joint Giving Circle Event

Understanding the Landscape of Post-Secondary Success in 2025
Join us for the first educational program as we explore this year's topic:
Empowering Post-Secondary Success: Diverse Pathways to Opportunity.
This year, our three giving circles unite to explore and address the multifaceted challenges facing students pursuing post-secondary education and career advancement in our region. We will work to understand the critical disparities in post-secondary success that disproportionately impact students from underrepresented and under-resourced communities, while recognizing that "success" encompasses many different pathways.
Why This Matters:
The disparity in access to meaningful post-secondary pathways has profound implications for both individuals and our broader community. When talented individuals cannot access routes to upward mobility that match their aspirations and circumstances, we collectively lose:
• Individual economic mobility and lifetime earning potential
• Diverse talent in our regional workforce
• Innovation and creativity that comes from varied perspectives
• Community leadership representing all populations
Our Approach:
As the foundation of our collective learning journey, this year's topic embraces a definition of post-secondary success that encompasses multiple pathways to upward mobility, including:
• Four-year college degrees (bachelor's programs)
• Two-year associate degrees at community colleges
• Trade schools and registered apprenticeship programs
• Industry-recognized certifications (healthcare, IT, manufacturing)
• Entrepreneurship and small business ownership
Through this shared learning experience, we'll discover opportunities to direct our collective philanthropy toward initiatives that empower all students to discover, access, and thrive in meaningful post-secondary pathways that align with their aspirations, lived experiences, and our community's needs.
