Windsor Greater Together Community Fund

The Hartford Foundation for Public Giving has established a $100,000 Greater Together Community Fund for the Town of Windsor.
The purpose of the Greater Together Community Funds is to:
- support the community in taking ownership around the needs in their towns
- encourage broad and inclusive civic engagement and
- anchor the Hartford Foundation in each town.

Windsor Greater Together Community Fund Announces Grant Awards 2025
The following organizations were recipients of the Windsor GTCF grant awards during the March 2025 grant cycle:
- Windsor Art Center, Inc.($5000) - Enhance the visitor experience to the Windsor Art Center events
- Windsor High School Band Booster, Inc. ($5000) - purchase new musical loaner instruments to increase access for WHS students to participate in band.
- First Town Downtown ($2480) - to provide supplies to support the Windsor Eco Monarch Festival, an event for the town that provides environmental education.
- The Windsor Historical Society of Windsor Conn., Inc. ($2360) - Windsor250 Committee will be planning activities for Windsor residents to enjoy as we celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence in 2026.
- Connecticut Oral Health Initiative - ($3500) will provide oral health sessions accessible for seniors, youth in afterschool programs and to the general public.
- Connecticut Cat Connection ($1000) to replace humane traps for use in their, From Streets to Safety, program to enhance their cat rescue capabilities.
- WHS Project Graduation ($5000) - substance free celebration for the class of 2025
- Windsor Junior Women’s Club ($3000) - Support their Senior Dinner Program
- Interval House ($2500) - Support for assistance to Windsor victims of domestic violence
- Team Paragon Robotics ($5000) - Support the purchase of robotics kits and software for 3 Windsor Robotics Teams
- Operation Fuel ($5000) - Direct financial assistance for Windsor residents fuel bills
At the end of their grant period, awarded organizations can use this final report form to report on the use of their funds and email the completed form to windsor@hfpgcommunityfunds.org
- WIN-TV ($5000) - to support their KIDVID summer workshop program
- Journey 2 Free ($3650) - Podcast equipment, support group facilitator
- WHS Project Graduation ($5000) - substance free celebration for th class of 2024Windsor Special Olympics ($2500) - Assist in covering Registration fees, uniforms, equipment, bus & facility rental
- Journey Writers ($2500) - To support costs for materials and venue for writing workshops
- Northwest Park ($5000) - Support the purchase of a new Planetarium Dome
- Windsor Junior Women’s Club ($2500) - Support their Senior Dinner Program
- Windsor Human Relations Commission (WHRC) ($4500) - Annual Juneteenth Celebration
- Interval House ($2500) - Support for assistance to Windsor victims of domestic violence
- Team Paragon Robotics ($5000) - Support the purchase of robotics kits and software for 3 Windsor Robotics Teams
- Operation Fuel ($2500) - Direct financial assistance for Windsor residents fuel bills
- First Church Learning Center ($2000) - to purchase art materials and enhancements for classroom use.
- Hartford Interval House ($5,000) - to support victims of domestic violence.
- Northwest Park ($2,800) - to support educational programming through the purchase of a new projector.
- Windsor Giants Midget Football Team Inc. ($5,000) - to support the purchase of new helmets and pads to ensure safety for all participants.

Advisory Committee Members
The role of the Committee is to design and lead an inclusive process to identify the needs in our community, and design a grantmaking process aimed to ensure that the Greater Together Community Funds can have the greatest impact for the benefit of town residents.
