Hartford Foundation Seeking Submissions for Art in Action: Young Artists' Vision of 2020 Art Exhibit

Foundation invites 13-19-year-olds in Greater Hartford to participate in this exhibit by submitting a creative piece expressing their vision of 2020.

The Hartford Foundation for Public Giving is creating a virtual exhibit of young artists’ work that reflects the energy and emotions of the current moment in our history. The Foundation is inviting anyone 13-19 years old who lives in its 29-town Greater Hartford region to participate by submitting a piece of artwork that captures their thoughts and experiences during this difficult time.

Young artists are encouraged to submit poems, songs, portraits, sculptures, protest signs, or any other creative work reflecting on this time of pandemic and protest. Submissions to be part of the exhibit, Art in Action: Young Artists' Vision of 2020.

The Hartford Foundation's Artists of Color advisory group will select several entries from the exhibit to be featured during our annual donor and stakeholder event on November 10th.

To complete a submission form, upload digital files or photos, or find locations to drop off artwork in person, log onto hfpg.org/artinaction. The deadline for submissions is October 17. For additional information, contact Tom Zeleznock at tzeleznock@hfpg.org.
