What do you enjoy most about Greater Hartford?
I grew up in Wethersfield, so I’ve spent the majority of my life in Greater Hartford. Still, I find there are always new things to discover. As someone who enjoys the outdoors, there are plenty of options to engage with nature, including local hiking gems, places to kayak and ample spaces for my dogs to explore.

What quote best represents your personal philosophy?
"Courage is the measure of our heartfelt participation with life, with another, with a community, a work; a future. To be courageous is not necessarily to go anywhere or do anything except to make conscious those things we already feel deeply and then to live through the unending vulnerabilities of those consequences." - David Whyte

Are you involved in any volunteer activities?
Over the years, I have volunteered with the American Cancer Society in numerous capacities, including providing medical transportation, administrative work and joining the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of New London event planning committee. I recently have been volunteering for the UConn Master Composter program to spread the joy of composting.
