Marcy joined the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving in the summer of 2025. As the Senior Donor Experience Officer, she leads the Foundation’s strategic donor engagement initiatives to promote deep and lasting connections for donors at all levels.

Marcy is passionate about education and community engagement. Her career reflects a commitment to advancing organizations through strategic leadership and meaningful donor relationships. She has over 20 years of  experience in advancement and relationship-building. Before joining the Foundation, she served as the Managing Director of Advancement at a small STEM-education-focused organization on the Connecticut shoreline. Before that, Marcy held several senior roles at Wesleyan University, including Director of Principal Gifts and Director of Stewardship & Donor Relations. She also worked for Blackbaud, a leading cloud software company that supports the nonprofit, social good sector. Marcy holds a Bachelor of Science in Plant & Soil Science from the University of Vermont.

What do you enjoy most about Greater Hartford?

As a lifelong Connecticut resident, I’ve discovered that the Greater Hartford area is full of amazing restaurants and beautiful hiking trails and parks – so many local gems waiting to be explored!

Are you involved in any volunteer activities?

I volunteer in my hometown community, focusing on educational activities and, from time to time, do pro bono grant writing for small organizations.
