Receptionist

Janis works as a front-desk receptionist at the Hartford Foundation. While she retired from full-time work in 2016 after serving as the Finance Administrative Assistant, she was excited to re-join the team in a part-time role.

What do you enjoy most about Greater Hartford?
The diversity of cultures. People coming together from all walks of life. The surprise is in finding out we have more in common than not. People need each other.

What quote best represents your personal philosophy?
When you give people the gift of kindness, compassion and respect usually it’s not forgotten. The beauty is as you live your life, that gift will come back to you when you least expect it.
