Deborah Rothstein, J.D.

Deborah joined Hartford Foundation staff in 2014 as a Senior Gift Planning Officer and was promoted to Vice President for Development in 2016. Currently, she oversees a team of more than a dozen professionals and is responsible for fund development, donor relations and stewardship of donors and professional advisors. 

Previously, Deborah worked at the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Hartford for sixteen years, serving as Vice President of Philanthropy from 2008 to 2013. Deborah holds a JD from University of Connecticut School of Law and a master’s degree in clinical psychology from Boston University.  She worked as a family psychotherapist and neuropsychological researcher in Boston for many years following her practicum at Charles River Hospital in Wellesley and the Somerville Mental Health Clinic.

I am a member of the Board of the Jewish Community Relations Council of the Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford and President-Elect of the Estate and Business Council of Hartford.
