Catalyst Endowment Fund

For a hands-on experience in philanthropy at a reasonable cost, join the Catalyst Endowment Fund, and:

• Learn about critical issues facing our region,
• Jointly determine grants to nonprofit organizations tackling those issues, and
• Meet new people who share a commitment to our community.

Catalyst members attend three meetings each year - two to explore the annually-chosen topic and one to discuss and vote on the grants for that year. Members receive information about the year's topic, and are invited to the Foundation's annual Celebration of Giving. Beyond the personal satisfaction of learning about and giving to your community, one of the most rewarding aspects of participating in Catalyst is meeting other people from across the region who share the values of thoughtful giving.

Replicated across the country and in the United Kingdom, the Hartford Foundation's Catalyst Endowment is a great way to try a new form of philanthropy. Membership is $500 per year.
