What We Do

The Nonprofit Support Program helps strengthen nonprofit organizations in Greater Hartford so that they can achieve their missions most effectively. Through a robust array of services, NSP encourages you think about your organization in new ways, connect with other nonprofit leaders, and access the training programs, assessments, grants, loans and experts that can help you strengthen and sustain your organization.

Specifically, NSP’s training workshops are offered in the areas of board development, executive management, evaluation capacity, financial management, human resources, and fund development.  Further, we offer organizational and financial management assessments, and grants in the areas of planning (Technical Assistance Grants), financial management, strategic technology and executive transition.

NSP recently participated in an independent assessment of its services. Based on feedback from nonprofits and consultants throughout Greater Hartford, the study concluded that NSP offers state-of-the art programming that supports organizational elements essential for effective nonprofits.
