The goal of the PGDC is to enhance community awareness of planning techniques that help people accomplish their personal and philanthropic planning objectives by equipping their advisors with the latest information regarding the tools and techniques of charitable gift planning, and the tax laws that govern their use.

The PGDC is a state-of-the-art, interactive website designed exclusively for professional advisors that:

  • Provides comprehensive discussions about planned giving vehicles and suitable gift assets, including how to combine them in order to accomplish a client’s financial, estate and philanthropic planning objectives.
  • Keeps advisors informed with authoritative and timely email news alerts with summaries that link to detailed commentary regarding the latest IRS pronouncements, court decisions and legislative developments affecting charitable taxation.
  • Offers case studies concerning planned giving and charitable taxation that advisors can use to introduce planned giving concepts with clients.
  • Provides access to comprehensive treatises on the subjects of planned giving vehicles, potential gift assets, income gift, and estate tax deduction rules, and more.

At the PGDC, you’ll also find calculators, rates and tables, sample forms, and discussion forums.

"As a CPA specializing in financial planning for successful clients, I often have occasion to discuss charitable planning with them. The first place I turn is the Planned Giving Design Center for articles to explain the concepts that I'm trying to present and calculations to illustrate the expected tax and economic benefits. It's a great tool to help me do my job efficiently and professionally - and it's free."

(Richard Thibodeau, CPA/PFS, JD, Filomeno & Company)
