Area Resident Serves on Hartford Foundation Board

Bonnie J. Malley of Suffield has been appointed to the nine-member volunteer board of the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving – the community foundation for the 29-town Greater Hartford region.
Ms. Malley is a senior vice president of The Phoenix Companies, Inc. responsible for human resources, administrative services, and corporate real estate.  She joined the company in 1985 as a staff auditor, steadily assumed increased responsibilities within the securities and investment accounting functions, and was named vice president, corporate finance in 1998.  She played a critical role in the company’s demutualization and initial public offering in 2001. She assumed her current position in August 2002.

Ms. Malley has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Western New England College.  She serves on the board of directors of the National Conference for Community and Justice, and previously served on the board of the Urban League of Greater Hartford, Inc.

Ms. Malley has lived in Suffield for 16 years with her husband, his son and their two children.
