 Elizabeth Berman was about to turn 40. As her birthday approached, she told her husband Arnold that rather than a party or a traditional gift, she really wanted to find an opportunity to make a difference in the community. For her birthday, Arnold enrolled Elizabeth in a group at the Hartford Foundation called Catalyst. Each year, Catalyst members discuss an issue important to Greater Hartford and make grants from the fund to positively impact the community. Elizabeth was thrilled with the gift and remains involved with Catalyst to this day. |
