General Endowment Fund

To support the Hartford Foundation in its mission to enhance the quality of life for thousands of our neighbors, donors can give to the General Endowment Fund. Your gifts to the Foundation of any size, unless they are designated to an existing fund, are pooled into this fund and credited to you or a loved one.

Your contributions are invested in our broadly diversified portfolio and support the full range of the Foundation’s grants. If, over time, your cumulative gift total reaches $10,000, you can transfer it to an individually named fund for broad unrestricted purposes, preserving your family name forever.
