The Hartford Foundation for Public Giving recently launched the second round of its “I Am a Philanthropist” ad campaign, which highlights the generosity of local philanthropists who give of their time, talent and resources to enrich our community. The November launch coincides with National Philanthropy Month.
The ads depict a wide array of local residents who have all chosen to give through the Hartford Foundation in a variety of ways, including giving circles, scholarships, dedicated funds and donor-advised funds.
“The work of the Hartford Foundation would not be possible without our donors, so we are pleased to feature some of the individuals who are making a difference in this region by promoting arts and culture, safeguarding health, empowering youth and supporting education,” said Michelle C. Mays, communications and marketing officer at the Foundation.
The campaign features Dwight Bachman of Willimantic, Beth Gibbs of Windsor, Austin Hersh of West Hartford, Stephen Mok of West Hartford, Dr. and Mrs. Prasad Srinivasan of Glastonbury, and Nelly Rojas Schwan of West Hartford.
Each donor has a unique giving story, but they all share a commitment and passion for creating communities that flourish today and will be vibrant in the future. They join in a partnership with the Foundation and the region’s nonprofits to make our community a better place for all of us.
If you want to inspire meaningful and lasting change in the community through your giving, the Hartford Foundation can be a resource for you. With hundreds of dedicated funds, grants and scholarships, the Foundation can help you become a philanthropist too. Learn more at hfpg.org/give.
