Use this application if the scholarship you want to apply for includes this symbol in the listing. This includes both scholarships for undergraduate and graduate school.
Read this first:
- Read the scholarship listing to see what else is required. Some
scholarships require additional materials or an interview.
- Check each deadline. Scholarships that accept the General
Scholarship Application do not all have the same deadline.
- Check where to send the application. It may be different for each
scholarship for which you apply.
Download the Application
Option A: Download the Word version of the application and save it to your computer. Open the document in Word (version 97 or later) and fill it out. Then print it and mail it with the other required documents to the address provided in the scholarship listing. IMPORTANT: DO NOT email or mail it to the Hartford Foundation.

Option B: Download the PDF version of the application (requires Adobe Acrobat Reader) and print it out. Fill out the application by neatly printing or typing your information. Mail it with the other required documents to the address provided in the scholarship listing. IMPORTANT: DO NOT email or mail it to the Hartford Foundation. Download the PDF Application here.
If you have trouble downloading either version, hardcopies are available in high school guidance offices and local libraries, or you may request a copy from the Hartford Foundation (860-548-1888, scholarships@hfpg.org).
