Children and seniors enjoy an afternoon of learning and sharing at Catholic Charities' Institute for the Hispanic Family in Hartford, through a program of the Brighter Futures Family Center located there. The Foundation helped fund the construction of the Institute, enabling these types of intergenerational activities.

The Foundation's Nonprofit Support Program and Hartford Public Library have partnered to provide periodic workshops for smaller nonprofit organizations. Held several times a year, the workshops cover the basics of building a board, budgeting, planning, marketing, and fundraising.

Foundation donors, Ed Stockton of Bloomfield, Larry Lunden of West Hartford, and Peggy Lorence of Bloomfield, learn about Gray Lodge, a program for at-risk girls and young women ages 13 to 21 run by The Shelter for Women. The group of about 20 visited area nonprofits supported by the Foundation on a recent bus tour.
