The Hartford Foundation can work with you – and your professional advisors if you choose – to make sense of your options and craft personalized solutions that suit your financial situation and fulfill your deepest intentions for charitable giving. Whether you want to include a simple provision in your will, create a charitable trust using complex assets, or anything in between, we can help.
By making a legacy gift to the Hartford Foundation, you can:
- Make a lasting difference in your community
- Experience grantmaking firsthand, if you choose
- Help provide responsive, flexible and ongoing support for area nonprofits
- Partner with your community foundation, which has been supporting the Greater Hartford region for more than 85 years
Your legacy gift to the Hartford Foundation is enduring, and so is our commitment to you. When you make a provision for a legacy gift to the Hartford Foundation as part of your estate and /or financial plan, you become a member of the Foundation’s Legacy Society. Members are recognized in the Foundation’s annual report (unless you prefer anonymity), and receive information and invitations to our Legacy Society reception and other special events.
The Legacy Society honors those individuals who have included a future gift to the Hartford Foundation as part of their will, estate, and/or financial plan. These might include bequests in wills or testamentary trusts, gifts of retirement assets, gifts that pay life income to one or more individuals, or gifts of insurance policies. We gratefully acknowledge these donors for their foresight and leadership in creating an enduring legacy for Greater Hartford.
