Haiti in Need

January 2010

On January 12, a devastating earthquake struck Haiti and has caused a humanitarian disaster in the country. The best way to help people in Haiti at this point in time is to make monetary donations to organizations that are experienced in disaster relief and have a presence in the country.

Hartford Foundation donors who want to help the people of Haiti may make gifts from their advised funds to agencies responding to the disaster. Donor advisors interested in making a gift from their fund should contact Maggie Willard at mwillard@hfpg.org or 860-548-1888 x1020.
